The Higgins Memorial Project
was conceived, designed, and completed through the efforts of Jerry Meyer
and his students at Columbus High School of Columbus, Nebraska.
This unique memorial has three purposes:

To honor Andrew Jackson
Higgins
-
To honor the workers of
Higgins Industries and all the men and women who designed and manufactured
equipment for World War II.

To honor the soldiers and
sailors who rode the Higgins boats in to battle.

PA33-21 Higgins boat (LCVP) as initially placed in the Louisiana
Memorial Pavilion of the National D-Day Museum.
