Your continued support is needed

Many individuals and organizations put forth great effort and time to make this project a success.  We cannot begin to list all the people who deserve recognition.  We do attempt on this page to give credit to the major benefactors.  Please do not hesitate to contact them and let them know how much their efforts are appreciated!

Jerry and Mary Meyer

Jerry is a history teacher at Columbus High School.  When he happened upon a news article in the Omaha World Herald which stated that Higgins had been born in Columbus, he envisioned the Higgins Memorial as an educational opportunity for his students. With the support of his wife Mary, Jerry spearheaded the entire project.  By involving his students, family, friends, colleagues, and the citizens of Columbus, Jerry steered the project to reality.
